The 102 Plus is a small, single-cylinder outboard engine produced by British Seagull since the mid-1950s. It is part of a large series of two-stroke marine engines built by the company for over fifty years. Thanks to their simple construction and renowned reliability, these engines have been widely used since the 1930s as both main and auxiliary engines on various types of pleasure craft. The 102 Plus features a large, four-bladed propeller, with a diameter of 330 mm. It is not a high-speed engine, but rather a power unit designed for a versatile use, capable of providing strong thrust and good efficiency at low speeds, up to approximately 8 knots. The 102 Plus is equipped with a freewheel mechanism and a clutch, which allows the propeller to be disconnected from the engine.
