The 350 C is a Diesel engine produced by FIAT in the 1930s to equip its range of heavy trucks 632 N1, 633 N and other models derived from them, widely used in civil and military applications. Given the intended use, the engine has been designed with a particularly robust structure, allowing easy repair and maintenance operations. Its overall layout was used by FIAT as a development basis for the subsequent engine models with higher displacement and six-in-line cylinders. The engine is equipped with a direct injection system inside the cylinders, with a combustion chamber of modern design, obtained in part through a concavity in the piston crown. The engine is part of a group of historical artifacts that FIAT Chrysler Automobiles, today Stellantis, entrusted to the Museum in 2020 as part of a cooperation agreement for enhancing the historical industrial heritage.
